Jefferson Davis

Davis was the elected president of the Confederate States of America. He ordered the attack on the Union Fort Sumter. He was captured on May 10, 1865 near the end of the Civil War. On February 4, 1861 he was elected president of the CSA the same day that it was formed. The CSA consisted of North and South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama.
