Union Generals
The North had more generals during the Civil War. This happened because none of the generals were good enough. Horrible generals would keep on getting appointed or losing a major battle. Some of the other generals for the Union during the war are:
General John Buford
General James Rickets
General John Reynolds
General Alexander McClernand
General Winfield Scott
General Joshua Chamberlain
General Philip Sheridan
General Oliver Howard
General Joseph Hooker
General Willam Tecumseh Sherman
