The South had numerous disadvantages compared to the North, but they also had a few advantages as well. One disadvantage that affected the South majorly during the Civil War was their lack of rail road tracks and trains. It was harder for the Confederacy to transfer troops and supplies. Some advantages that the South had were Generals Lee and Jackson. These generals helped the South win countless important battles during the Civil War with their tactics and brilliance.
